Behind the scenes of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles

Vehicle development is a very complex process at multiple levels and consists of several stages: from determining and evaluating markets to designing a simple wheel or seat. There is a great need to manage and somehow connect, all of these steps logically. For example, General Motors uses a the top-down approach to connect these levels. This approach starts with a global view point, enphasising on the needs from customers and companies regarding the vehicle, and the vehicle manufacturer itself.

Hydrogen’s Role in Society

The development of a competitive fuel cell, both in price and time, imposes a number of important requirements on testing infrastructures. They must be able to combine the real fuel cell system with a virtual simulation of the vehicle, thus allowing the battery to be subjected to real driving load requests, from the initial stages of development. This allows transparent integration into prototypes for validation.
